Can’t believe celebrities would take naked pictures of themselves
If you know Katie Rosenberg, a junior at Vonn College, you know that she will not stand for another leak of some celeb’s nude photos. As evidenced by her tweets and Facebook posts, she is livid. However, this anger is not directed at the hackers and predators leaking the pics, but the girls and women taking (and sometimes sending) them.
The most recent photo hack of primarily female celebrities’ nudes happened in April of 2017. As her social media followers remember, Rosenberg was thrilled to have another opportunity to express her passionate belief that naked pictures are bad. Facebook posts included: “Why does Miley even care? She’s practically naked onstage anyway”; “Isn’t Rosario Dawson supposed to be like a feminist?”; “Kate Hudson was totally asking for it”; and the concise “Fuck Rose McGowan.”
Yet Rosenberg’s classmates in Intro to Women’s Studies have noticed some irony in her statements. Although she claimed, “Like, of course people who sext don’t get jobs. I’m not even sure if they deserve to get jobs. It’s so stupid,” during a class discussion on rape culture, Rosenberg has no problem posting her most intimate thoughts on her long-held Tumblr account, found at KatiesQueries.tumblr.com.
“Katie’s constantly complaining she’s never gotten accepted to a marketing internship and that it’s so unfair,” classmate Julie Cho observed. “But I’ve checked out her Tumblr, and like…”
Junior Margaret Mackintosh interrupted. “Honestly. That shit’s crazy.”
On her Tumblr — quickly found if you google her name and college, because it’s all right there — Katie posts about her anger toward sexting, but also her anger toward “retards,” “the Mexicans,” and even “that dyke in my Women’s Studies class.”
“It’s completely out of hand,” Cho continued, scrolling through her phone in horror. “It stopped being funny in, like, 2015.”
Mackintosh noted that Rosenberg is also no stranger to the gym mirror selfie, typically taken in a sports bra and tight Spandex-esque shorts. When searching the #lifting tag on her blog, over 60 such posts came up.
“I have no problem with anyone posting any pic of themselves, honestly,” Mackintosh said. “But like, you’ve gotta admit it’s pretty weird that she posts pics in her bra when she’s still refusing to watch The Hunger Games because of that Jennifer Lawrence leak.”
When asked if they’d ever thought about bringing it up, Cho and Mackintosh both shrugged.
“Katie would never think it’s her fault she doesn’t get any jobs for being a total bigot,” Cho sighed. “She’d call that oppression of free speech.”
