I have eight separate stretch marks circling my belly button. They look like tree branches, arching out from a trunk, large in size, with too many rings to count. They don’t move, but they grow. I place my thumb at the top of the stump, saying a little prayer that they will stop.
Maybe they need less sunlight,
Or maybe they want less water.
But over-watering means they would die.
I wonder if I’d die with less sunlight.
