Eleanor Henderson is a bestselling author and professor of writing at Ithaca College. Her debut novel, Ten Thousand Saints, is the story of a 16-year-old boy named Jude who turns to the straightedge movement after he loses best friend to drug overdose. It was named one of the 10 best books of 2011 by The New York Times. The Los Angeles Times called it a “whirling dervish of a first novel” and The Washington Post called it “phenomenal.”
