On Saturday, Sept. 24, nearly two hundred people joined together for Slutwalk Ithaca, a march to raise awareness about the prevalence of rape, victim-blaming and slut-shaming in U.S. society. The march began in Washington Park in Ithaca, looping around town with the final destination of the pavilion in the middle of the Commons. Slutwalkers took turns sharing their stories or thoughts or opinions on rape, sexual assault, and sex-based shame. We’ll have more on that in next month’s issue of Buzzsaw, but for now, check out some of the best signs from Slutwalk Ithaca (some photos by Zachary Anderson).
